Anxiety
It is normal to experience occasional anxiety, but when anxiety becomes persistent, uncontrollable, and overwhelming, you may want to seek professional support. I will provide education on anxiety, explore thinking patterns that are contributing to anxious thinking and assist with developing healthy coping skills.
Greif/Loss
Grief is the refection of what we love, it can feel all-encompassing. Grief is ultimately a personal journey - nobody can tell you what you should be feeling and when you should be feeling it. Remember that no one emotion is more right or valid than another, but that understanding what you are feeling can be important to helping to identify what you may need at that particular time. The good news is that you don’t have to walk this journey alone. I can provide support to help navigate the ups and downs of loss and offer the tools and resources needed to manage and process your grief.
Life Transitions
Relationship and/or role changes? Career changes? Medical diagnosis? We often resist change as it brings varying degrees of uncertainty and apprehension, although change is inevitable. Some changes are unpredictable and others may be anticipated, but still extremely difficult to accept and to adjust to. I am here to help you navigate through your life change and your “new normal”.
Trauma
Most people will experience at least one event in their lifetime that is traumatic to them. Some individuals are able to process and heal from their traumatic event, while others may feel stuck in that moment and struggle to heal on their own. I can support you through this healing process by exploring how the trauma has impacted your perception of yourself and the world, and assist with identifying new ways to reframe the trauma.
